The planning process

  THE PLANNING PROCESS

This Plan, which presents the strategic intentions of South Sudan Development Agency for the next three years (2016 – 2018), was developed with consultations and inputs from BODs, staff and other stakeholders – beneficiaries and Partners. It provided for a review of SSUDA’s history, strength, weaknesses and opportunities with a view to guide the structure and methods to be employed towards sustainability.

Stragic Framework

Vision:

A healthy, just and empowered community where everyone enjoys high quality life.

Mission:

To improve the quality of life of the vulnerable communities by building capacities and supporting them to develop sustainable initiatives that alleviate poverty and enhance social cohesion and justice for all.

Compassion:

SSUDA has remained sympathetic to the plight and suffering of others andcompassion will remain a driving force for action.

Partnerships:

SSUDA appreciates that it cannot alone address the challenges the local communities face.Therefore, SSUDA will continue to strengthen and foster partnerships with  local,  national  and international organizations such  as donors ,  NGOs ,  FBOs ,  CBOs  an d  relevant  government departments and Ministries. It will also endeavour to promote effective collaboration and networking with all stakeholders in addressing these challenges.

Integrity and  discipline:

SSUDA will  continue to  ensure that  accountability  and  transparency prevails in  all  its undertakings. Thus  SSUDA’s  overriding  interest  will  be  to ensure that  resources at its  disposal are  used  to  further the targeted community agenda. It will pursue innovation and continue to be honest and remain committed to ethical and professional standards of the highest order.

Teamwork:

The  Organization  will  strive  and  continue  to cultivate virtues of teamwork by creating a  climate of trust, discipline and respect among its employees and partners, and these will remain the cornerstone and foundations for collective responsibility  and  the  achievement  of  SSUDA’s  objectives.

Responsiveness:

As it always has, SSUDA will endeavour to remain sensitive and flexible to the changing needs of its diverse target groups and stakeholders and will adjust itself to facilitate achieving its objectives within mutually acceptable frameworks.

Advocacy:

SSUDA will continue to create awareness and build capacity on pertinent issues towards our goal of bridging the poverty gap and enhancing the realization of Peace and justice.
